My husband and I needed to replace some very old and worn swivel dining chairs, saw an ad in the newspaper, and called Heather at California Dining and Barstools. She was knowledgeable, listened carefully to our preferences, and said they had six options that we might like on the floor. She recommended that we come and try them out (even though the drive to Sunnyvale was long) because "chairs sit differently for different people." So we made the drive. What a great day that was. We met Dennis who showed us the chairs we might like. The people and service at California Dining and Bar Stools are exceptional! We unexpectedly replaced both our kitchen dining set and our dining room table and chairs with quality, elegant furniture for a very good price. It was all delivered to our house the next day by Mike and John. They disassembled our old furniture and moved it to the garage. And they reassembled the new furniture exactly where we wanted it. They were efficient, professional, personable, and knowledgeable. We recommend this company without reservation. You should visit them.

Our counter stools just arrived today, and they are perfect! Fred and Heather are very helpful. The store offers great services, we got stools to use while we were waiting for ours. We are very happy we found this store!!

New place so I was skeptical at first, but I love the selection! My new walnut dining set is very well made! Little pricey, but well worth the lifetime investment. Highly recommend.

This is a wonderful company to deal with- responsive, trustworthy, honest and with a big selection of great quality furniture- some Amish made, some Canadian, with various price ranges. A gem of a place with dining sets that far exceed quality of major chain furniture stores. Highly recommended.

The absolute best place to buy a dining table set! They have an expensive selection of tables and chairs to suit any budget, and great prices. I was helping my mom shop for a rectangular solid wood table with simple wooden chairs (no fabric seats), which was surprisingly hard to find in other furniture stores. Heather was quick to greet us and advise us on different options, but also gave us plenty of time and space to look around. Other stores were so pushy and focused on making a sale, but Heather felt like a friend who's goal was to share her knowledge about the different styles and materials to make sure you find your dream set. She helped us find a beautiful dining set that was the perfect color, material, style, and price! The delivery cost was one of the cheapest ($75) and they were the only store who had an option to take away your old table (for another $75 which is a steal considering other options would cost over $100 and would require coordinating with another company). Heather even asked us what type of flooring we had, so they could install the appropriate pads or feet on the table. We bought the table on Dec 20, and were about to get the table on Dec 27! Other stores wouldn't be able to deliver until January and it was the holidays. We were given a two-hour window for the delivery, and the delivery men arrived at the very beginning of the time window! Despite needing to take away our large expandable table with nine chairs through a narrow hallway before dropping off the new set, they were in and out in only about 30 mins. They also leveled the table and showed us how in case we moved the table and needed to level it again. Everyone we interacted with at California Dining and Bar Stools were phenomenal. I honestly couldn't have asked for better selection or customer service! We went to a lot of other furniture stores beforehand, and they were by far the best. Wow! What a great experience. “Sal” was very helpful and honest from start to finish. He asks good questions and offers great recommendations based on room size, use, etc. He carries a furniture brand and style that is hard to find, and his floor model (table and 4 chairs) was exactly what I had been looking for – even better, it was on sale and qualified for “no tax”. The delivery cost was very reasonable, and the delivery team was fantastic – they were on time, kept me updated, and were very professional, friendly, and efficient. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience! It’s definitely worth the drive no matter where you live in the Bay Area. Before you buy any dining sets, chairs, stools, etc. check out Sal’s inventory and great values first! We look forward to doing business with this store again in the future. Five stars*****

Fantastic selection of dining tables chairs and barstools. Sal & Heather are great to work with. We recently ordered and received a new Amish built table, finished in beautiful Michael’s Cherry finish. We ordered padded chairs for comfort because our kitchen table is where we spend a lot of time. There is much to consider when buying quality furniture like the selection offered by California Dining & Barstools but Sal, Heather or the other big cool dude (I don’t know his name) will guide you to a great selection. They each have over 30 years experience with this very special small business.
